EXPO 2020 DUBAI will open its doors on Friday... and it is never too late to organise your incentives!

The final countdown to the opening of EXPO 2020 DUBAI has started and the excitement is at its peak! For this much anticipated global event, here are the important details about Expo 2020 Dubai to help you organize your clients' events and incentives.

Practical information

Expo 2020 Dubai will be open daily except Sundays from 10 am to midnight (until 2 am on Thursdays and Fridays).

Access

A new metro line has been created especially for the Expo with the terminus stop leading directly to the entrance. It is this line that we strongly recommend our customers to take, because it is the most ecological means of transport to reach the Expo site but also because it allows visitors to enjoy a panorama of Dubai which worth the trip! In addition, 27 buses dedicated to the event will allow visitors to travel for free on the site, with 14 stops and high frequency (3 minutes). It will also be possible to take the Expo 2020 train to stroll in an original way through the exhibition ... a unique experience!

The program for the month of October


On September 30 the official opening takes place which will include an opening show. Leading names like Andrea Bocelli and Ellie Goulding will star in this sensational show. Follow it live, Thursday, September 30 at 7:30 p.m. Dubai time via this link: https://virtualexpo.world/

From October 3 to 9, the theme of climate and biodiversity will be highlighted and how to work together to better manage climate change and protect biodiversity.

From October 17 to 23, we enter space to explore new frontiers in a safe and efficient way!

Districts and pavilions

The various installations of the Universal Exhibition are organized into districts and pavilions. Private events such as meetings or private cocktails can be organized in certain pavilions. We can organize this kind of event for your groups.‍

Districts

At Expo 2020, visitors will have the opportunity to stroll through different “districts” which have been created around 3 major themes related to today's challenges.

Sustainability district

As visitors explore the Sustainability District, they will learn about some of the most advanced technologies in the world, what countries are doing to support sustainable development, and how humans can live in harmony with nature in a high-tech future.

Mobility district

Visitors can discover how Mobility District creates connections to move the world forward, bridging the divide between the physical world and the digital world to create a global society, in harmony, where people information, ideas and goods are exchanged faster than ever.

Opportunity district

Visitors can find out how their lives and actions are interconnected in the Opportunity district. Meet people from all over the world who are turning dreams and aspirations into tomorrow's realities!

Country pavilions – 191 pavilions

Each participating country will have its own pavilion where visitors can have immersive cultural experiences and discover what makes each country unique by exploring dozens of pavilions!

Good news for vaccinated travelers who can now enter the country on proof of a negative PCR test result before travel and a valid COVID 19 vaccination certificate. Travellers are also required to pre-register through the Tarassud + platform and upload their vaccination and PCR test certificates both containing QR codes.

A gala dinner in Petra: the must!

Don’t miss a mythical gala dinner in the Nabataean city of Petra!

Accompanied by a sound and light show, this event is one of the musts of the incentive organization in Jordan.

It is more precisely in Little Petra that the evening takes place: after a private Nabataean ceremony, guests follow a narrow path illuminated with candles to reach the place where dinner will be served.

Elegant round tables, covered and decorated will host 3-course menu, orchestrated by a 5 * caterer will delight the most discerning gourmets!

A helicopter transfer from Amman to Wadi Rum or Petra

If you are on a short trip to Jordan, you will love the fastest and at the very least the most original means of transfer: Jordan Army helicopters!

Take off from Amman to the famous Petra site in just 70 minutes instead of 4 hours by road. It is also a unique place to admire from the sky the heights of the mountains, the Dead Sea and the wadis that roam the territory ...

An authentic Jordanian experience and nature in the Dana reserve

The Dana nature reserve covers some 308 km² and contains many natural treasures. It is made up of a chain of valleys and mountains stretching from the Jordanian Rift Valley to the desert plains of Wadi Araba. Visitors will be mesmerized by the beauty of Rummana Mountain, the mystery surrounding the ruins of Feynan and the timeless serenity of Dana village and its wadi, surrounded by red and white sandstone cliffs.

Dana is also home to a very diverse fauna, mixing rare species of plants and animals: there are around 600 species of plants, 37 species of mammals and 190 species of birds.

Canyoning and fun in the Dead Sea

The river is the only possible access route to this canyon upstream of the Dead Sea, and pass through a narrow gorge surrounded by cliffs 50 meters high in Wadi Mujib.

Your guide will lead you to a series of waterfalls, each more impressive than the last. You will follow the course of the river between imposing sandstone cliffs to the foot of a high waterfall.

Depending on the intensity of the precipitation and the seasons, the gorge reveals pools deep enough to indulge in an idyllic swim!

Walking in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia aboard the Wadi Rum train

Welcome on board! Get in Lawrence of Arabia’s train for a magical experience. The surrounding sand is pink, the jagged massifs pass by ... The Hejaz Railway, built by the Ottomans between 1900 and 1908 to facilitate pilgrimages to holy sites follows the route that Lawrence and his Bedouin warriors walked to prevent the Turkish forces from conveying troops and weapons.

A small station exhibits a 1916 train made up of a locomotive and wooden wagons. The locomotive of Japanese origin dates from 1955, for purists!

Cocooning in the desert within the incredible UFO Luxotel Wadi Rum camp

In the heart of the majestic desert of Wadi Rum is the extraordinary UFO Luxotel camp, offering serenity and appeasement for a true spiritual experience! Embrace the unadulterated rhythm of life of the Bedouin of the valley, enveloped in authentic charm and beauty, this camp opened only a short time ago, making it the newest in the region.

The camp has 50 tents in total and is divided into two parts: a camp with 20 inflatable "bubbles", and another with 30 tents in the shape of domes. The two parts share common spaces and a restaurant.
