COVID-19: travel conditions in Portugal

Good news for travellers from EU who have been vaccinated: there is no longer any need to take a test before leaving for Portugal!

Since 7 February 2022, travellers in possession of an EU digital Covid certificate or other valid proof of vaccination are exempt from having to present a negative test on arrival in Portugal. The EU digital Covid certificate attests to either a vaccine, test or recovery from Covid-19 infection less than six months old.

The validity period for antigenic tests has been reduced in Portugal from 48 to 24 hours.
